Playoffs are here. We have arrived.

IT IS FINALLY TIME FOR PLAYOFFS!. Congratulations to Pikapals, LK, Pieper, Oneup40, StJoe, Socrates, just_defend, and Poptart_Cat for making it! It’s been a long, long road, 17 weeks. and there’s only 3 more left. Can you believe this whole thing took nearly half the year? It’s finally time to start earning some prizes. They’ll be starting a bit earlier this weekend too, with races beginning at instead of our normal start time

Also, for those of you who want me to put on another one of these in lets say… a year ~ a year and a half from now, PLEASE submit ideas for Season 4 by clicking this link, it makes my job exponentially easier and we might see stuff more wild than Pilotwings (somehow)

It’s game 7, please blame Bony.

Game 7 is now here. We’re in the final stretch, just think – in 5 weeks this’ll all be over. It’s time to EARN SOME WINGS in Game 7, because we have Pilotwings. This is the real embodiment of the theme I went with for all of our games – choose your own risks. Every game is different, and every game has had choices that people can make - do they want to risk the samll time save, or are they going for consistency? This game is insane, so you can basically pick everything, even I had a route where I relied on getting 40 points on a plane level and crashing because it was easy. Also, if this game offends/upsets you in any way at all, please blame Bony.

Just a reminder, please submit ideas for Season 4 by clicking this link, it really does help a ton.

Game 6 is here. It’s the obligatory racing one.

Game 6 is now here. Only 2 games left. Wow, this sure has been a crazy everything. It’s so close to the finish line, and we have Crash Team Racing driving us towards that white flag. There may not be copious product placement in our racing game compared to Season 2, but there sure are a lot of explosions and things for me to actually talk about!

Oh, and one more thing. We want to probably run another one of these, right? While I have some ideas about where to go with future seasons, doing it all by myself had me play things a little bit more safe. You know, things like picking a few games I had some familiarity with (which ended up paying off), and games I knew I could find an active / willing to come out of retirement runner to showcase and teach everyone. While this works, that pool is only so deep, and there are a LOT of video games that exist, including ones I realize later would have fit perfectly but didn’t even cross my mine. With that being said, I’m going to release this form linked by clicking here, where you, the viewers, competitors, and showcase runners, can submit new ideas for games for me to choose from.

This would greatly help me out, as maybe there’s an overlooked genre, a popular game with a strangely fun odd category, or just a weird NES title that is actually amazing, but only 3 people have played it because it was 1994 NES US exclusive. Filling this form out helps me bring you more content faster (but not too fast, I don’t want to burn out all 15 people crazy enough to join this event EVERY RACE) - and we can all more quickly get ourselves speedrunning again (and I guess taking my money, but that’s a side benefit, right?)

Game 5 is happening, we’re reaching the climax

Game 5 is now here. We’re over halfway through the season. Time is flying, and the sky is on fire. Join us for a nice, cozy, and somewhat return to normalcy that we never had with Skyblazer for the SNES. Lots of jumping and almost megaman like game play in this, everyone who has played a SNES platformer knows they’re way different. It’s just a shame there are no grappling hooks.

Game 4 is happening, if you haven’t started racing, this is your last chance

It’s time for game 4, which means we’re half way through (almost). What it also means, is if you haven’t started racing, but want to make a run at playoffs, you MUST JOIN THIS RACE AND EVERY RACE LEFT - there’s a 4 game minimum. We have Katamari Damacy as the game, one of the weirdest and strangest games that has ever existed. I wonder if there’s a pattern with me picking games with wildly different genres and skill sets required to run? Probably.
