It’s game 3 time, and a personal favorite of mine, and somehow through a severe comedy of errors I’m your expert. THat’s a problem. We have The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening as our third game! It’s no ST/WW, which is by far the least popular of the major categories, so I sure hope everyone is ready - this is a bit of a longer run compared to the last two. Oh, also the website is now green.

Hey, we made it to game 2, and nobody has died speedrunning these games. At least, not yet. See you in hell, game 2 is DOOM. Rip and Tear! Also, the setup page now contains dates about playoffs!

Welcome Everyone!

Welcome to Speed Seasons: Season 3 - The First One. A fun, get-yourself-speedrunning type event for the best of the best. Starting on Februrary 22nd, a new game and category will be revealed and ANYBODY will have a chance to enter a race that will happen two weeks (three weeks for the first game) later at 1:20pm US Eastern Time, after which the next game will be revealed. Racers will earn points throughout the season depending on how well they did and how many racers were in each race.

After all 7 games have been raced, the top 8 players with the most points that have entered at least 4 races will be entered in to a playoff bracket, racing those who remain in a single elimination bracket using the games they’ve learned over the event in a best of 3, until a winner is crowned.

We’re still setting things up, things haven’t quite totally kicked off yet - so get ready, and join the discord! To come will be the reveal of the first game, as well as how the scoring system works. In the meantime, you can set everything you’ll need for race day here, as we’ll be using SpeedRunsLive.com for the races.

SpeedSeasons will be utilizing the SpeedRunsLive IRC for the races. You must join the #speedrunslive channel in order to participate. You can use this Mibbit widget here, but it is recommended to download an irc client instead (Setup videos: mIRC and HexChat).

You must always use the same nickname in all of these channels. Please commit to a name prior to doing your first race. If you log in and race with a different nickname, the server moderators will ban that account.
